Steve Rayburn, teacher of Junior English, submitted this nomination:

During our study of Macbeth, Abe and Antoine started speculating on how Gilbert and Sullivan would treat the story of Macbeth. Inspired by the witches, they penned "Three Little Hags from Hell," which I added to the web site at the time. Inspired, they then spent more class time -- and some of their own -- adapting other G & S scenes to the characters in the Scottish play. Included in their repertoire is "When a Murderer’s not Engaged in his Employment," "When Macbeth Bares his Steel," "Oh joy...uh, SORROW unforeseen!," "For I am a Scottish King," and several others.

This is funny, creative, out-of-the-box stuff that connects two seemingly disparate items. After all, how many high school kids, even at Uni, even know who Gilbert and Sullivan ARE, much less know them well enough to pen dead-on parodies? They may not win, but I think it is great!

...And here are (some of) the songs:

Three Little Hags from Hell
A Scottish Nobleman I
When Macbeth Bares his Steel
For I am a Scottish King

I am too lazy to actually fill out a Wylde Q. Chicken nomination form. However, I would like to nominate the dC, the large group of boys. Although they have been involved in some problematic events, they do deserve recognition for their large number of original actions. For example, they have sponsored their own basketball and soccer teams - which are doing marvelously - and they created personalized T-shirts for themselves. They had a signing ceremony for all the players (in the lounge), directed by coach ivaR (Ravi Solter) and Plex (Dan Pleck).

They are also making their own celebrity soccer jerseys, which will be for sale; that is, you should be able to buy a jersey with the name of your favorite member of the dC! They also planned a spontaneous bike trip to Chicago, which has not yet been done, and have adopted special group nicknames for each other. This is only the tip of the iceberg regarding their feats. If this is not creative beyond the call of duty, what is?
